Series of guided workshops under the theme of "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar"


THIS IS A GUIDED WORKSHOP. FOR SELF-SERVICE SESSIONS (NO INSTRUCTION), PLEASE GO HERE: May is a month of artistic transformation! Inspired by Wes Anderson's "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar", we present to you 7 activities focused on well-being, creativity and self-discovery. For this series of guided workshops, join our scheduled workshops with expert guidance, feedback, and a collaborative art experience. SCHEDULED WORKSHOPS (EACH 250 HKD) 1. (May 12, 3-5pm) Scene Remastered: Bringing Scenes to Life through Life Drawing Experience the art of life drawing through our specially curated settings featuring a movie-inspired backdrop, live model, and still life objects bringing the cinematic world to your canvas. Materials: pencil, charcoal, colour pencils, markers, watercolour, acrylic paint 2. (May 17, 7-9pm) Soulful Pages: Bookbinding for Meditative Journaling Create your own journal with papers and book cover design of your choice. The meditative journal will serve as a sanctuary for your introspective thoughts and drawings. 3. (May 18, 11am-1pm) Cinematic Tin Wallet: Transforming Tin Box Embrace the enchanting theme of the Henry Sugar as you decorate your wallet with photos, paper, stickers, and miniature mirrors. Store your coins, money, lip gloss, or small trinkets in these personalized containers! 4. (May 19, 10am-1pm) Capturing Symbolism: Expressive Art with Colours The workshop explores the world of symbolism. Discover how different hues can express layered meanings and create vibrant artwork that resonates with depth and significance. 5. (May 20, 7-9pm) Contemplative Strokes: Painting the Mindful Image Explore meditation technique inspired by the film. Visualise your subject and bring it to life on the canvas in a state of deep mindfulness. 6. (May 26, 10am-1pm) Meditative Flames: Crafting Candle and Candle Holder Engage in the meditative craft of candle making and candle holder creation. Learn to craft candles and holders designed to enhance your moments of introspection and meditation. 7. (May 26, 2-5pm) Cinematic Colour: Painting with Scene-Inspired Palettes Create a free-themed painting using scene-inspired color palettes. Express your creativity by reimagining the scene's colours and bringing them to life on canvas. *As an opening event, we will have a movie screening on May 12 at 2pm. *Beverage is included *Private group booking available.

Cancellation Policy

ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. You can cancel or reschedule your class until 48 hours ahead of the class commencement time via the website. For any rescheduling request within 48 hours of the class commencement time, please contact GAC (WhatsApp: 5545 9254), and this will incur a handling fee of $100. No cancellation or rescheduling can be granted on class date (from 00:00). Cancellation and rescheduling within 48 hours is allowed without any cost in case of Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above and Black Rainstorm Warning Signal. ** IMPORTANT** Please note that for events, if minimum number of participants (4 people) are not recruited before 24 hours of the event, GAC may cancel the event. In this case, we'll give at least 24 hours of notice and issue a full refund.
